Qualification : B.Tech

Interview Time : 8:30 (certificate verification started at 8:30 sharp, Interview started at 10 sharp)

Interview panel : 1

Interview Venue : IOB zonal office, Anna Salai, Chennai

There were 4 members in the panel one lady (L1) and three gents (G1 G2 G3)

I entered the room at 10.20, I was the third member in my panel

I said may I come in , they all replied “Yes come in” at chorus :P

G1: hai Bala can u introduce yourself ?
I introduced my shelf
When I said iam currently perusing MBA banking Technology, G1 asked repeat it whats that course about and I explained..

L1: as your from Pondicherry , whats special in Pondicherry ?
I explained

Again G1: as you are Technical guy I ll give u one case study u have to answer it.. can you ?
Me: sure sir

G1: your are going to ATM and withdrawing 10,000 and atm card is with you and u don’t have sms intimation facility, later you came to know that 40,000 has been debited from your account..your card is with you how come it possible ?
Me: yes sir its possible with card skimmin.

G1: yes very good this is the exact word which I looked for !!!

G2: what is the difference between old banks and the present cbs banks.
I replied

G2:for one thing all banker will sit and workout those days which nowadays its made easy what’s that ?
Me: ledger, they will enter debit and credit manually

G2: yes it correct but what the exact word which they work for
Me: they will see weather it tally or not !!!

G2: good this is the word which I want to get from you.

G3:what technology does in bank.
I replied

G1: I ll say a statement you have to justify it , “ nowadays banks are acting as financial super market”
Me: yes sir we can get nearly 36 products in bank

G1: good tell any of those 4 products
Me: gold coins, credit card, remaning thing he himself started to tell :P

G1: nowadays banks are doing the work which they are not to do that !! whats that ?
Me : they are doing policies like LIC

G1: yes iam impressed ( with beautiful smile ) and asked other Persons to ask the questions.
G3: if u get a better job than this will you leave us ?

Me : I said my aim is to become a bank employee, If I got PO I would sure shift the job sir.

The first thing I forget to tell you as soon as I entered they asked me to write 5 lines in local language (Tamil) I wrote.. then G1 read that and said one spelling mistake was there.. I said sorry sir ..He said no prob..Its good.

All the panel member were very friendly with a cute smile the only thing is you have to smile with them :)

Suggestion : Good to concentrate on gesture rather than your knowledge, don’t mug up anything just know its enough..
