1. I will not come to your state if I hear a word against Seemandhra: Sonia Gandhi to Telangana leaders
Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Friday told leaders from Telangana to reach out to people of Seemandhra and not to use harsh words against them.
NDTV reported Sonia Gandhi saying this: 'I will not come to your state if I hear a word against Seemandhra."
2. HC stays Delhi Cabinet decision of 50 per cent waiver on power bills
The Delhi High Court on Friday stayed operation of the February 12 Delhi Cabinet decision to provide 50 per cent waiver on power arrears of people who did not pay their electricity bills from October 2012 to May 2013.
The Delhi Cabinet had approved as a 'new service' the proposal 'to provide 50 per cent relief on pending arrears to the tune of Rs 6,821 crore' and to direct finance department to allocate funds for the same as well as to inform the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) of the decision.
3. Narasimhan Asked Kiran Kumar to act as Caretaker CM of AP
Governor Narasimhan accepted the resignation of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy. Governor stated that this will effect from 19th February 2014. He asked Kiran kumar to act as caretaker CM of Andhra Pradesh.
4 India successfully test-fired Akash missile from ITR Complex in Chandipur
India on 21 February 2014 successfully test-fired indigenously developed surface-to-air Akash Missile from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) launch complex-3 at Chandipur in Odisha coast.
The missile that was launched targeted a floating object that was supported by Pilotless Target Aircraft (PTA) Lakshya. The intercepting floating object PTA Lakshya aircraft was flown from launch complex-2 at a definite altitude over the sea.

Government informed Lok Sabha that Without Aadhaar Card Account Consumers can get LPG Cylinder.

7. 65 Coin Vending Machines installed in Banks in Chennai
Both Public and Private sector banks inaugurated CVM’s (Coin Vending Machines) in Chennai. This will help in the issue and distribution of Coins and Banknotes. In Chennai 65 Machines were installed, one in TNSC Bank, one in Standard Chartered Bank, 4 in Axis Bank, 5 in Bank of India, 5 in Canara Bank, 10 in State Bank of India, 15 in Indian Bank and 24 in Overseas Bank.
