Hi fiends, this is Manirathinam from Chennai, Tamilnadu. My interview was on Feb 10th afternoon section . They were keen on document verification and they are checking word by word of the spelling of our name, D.O.B, year of passing etc..,One guy entered wrong D.O.B in IBPS online application and all other documents had correct D.O.B and he came without any Affidavit for the wrong D.O.B in online appication and he was rejected and sent back. Carry all the certificates reg your qualification and its xerox copies self attested because most of them didn't bring consolidated, semester-wise mark sheets and online application. Here is my interview experience.

Date of interview : 10-Feb-2014 (Afternoon)

Venue : IOB Regional Office, Anna Salai, Chennai.

Panel : VII ( 1 p.m.)

Category : SC

Document verification started from 3.15 pm to 3.35 pm. The documents should be arranged in the following order:
IBPS Clerk III online application
Proof of Identity( PAN card/Voter Id/Passport/AADHAR card and etc,,.)
Proof of D.O.B(SSLC/HSC marksheet)
Semester Mark-sheets or Consolidated Marksheet
Degree certificate or Provisional certificate
Community certificate as per the format given in the IBPS website(Postscript:If you don't have the prescribed format then atleast bring your Community certificate card which was given in your school and they said from next time onwards they would allow only if the prescribed format has been brought)
Interview call letter
As usual, there were 4 members among them there was a female member. I was the 16th candidate in the panel. My turn came by 4.30 pm.

Here is the word by word experience of my interview :

Me: May I get in sir?
P3: Please get in.
P2: You are Manikandan?
Me: No sir,I am Manirathinam.(still standing)
P2,P3: Take your seat in unison.
Me: I have settled down and then thanked them.
P3: Manirathinam, tell about yourself,
Me: First of all I would like to thank you for giving me this wonderful oppurtunity.
This is my great pleasure to introduce myself.
I am Manirathinam.
I am from Chennai.
I have completed B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engg., from Sri
Venkateswara College of Engineering at Sriperumbudur.
I have completed +2 from A.K.T.Academy Matriculation Higher Sec School at
Kallakurichi and I have passed 10th standard from Govt Higher Sec School at
S.V.Palayam. Coming to personality, I am a Hard working self motivated and
positive thinking person. Coming to my family, My Father is a daily wager and
my mother is a house maid and I have an elder brother,he is working as a
helper in a printing press,he has got married and has 2 children. This is all
about me sir.
P3: You said your father is a daily wager and what is he actually doing?
Me: I said he is a building construction labour, sir .
P3: Why didn't you get placed in campus interview since your college usually
provides a lot of placement offers?
Me: Sir, I have attended CTS Interview and I am basicallly from Tamil medium and I
was not able to get through the interview since I was not good at English .
Moreover due to recession most of the companier were not showed up,sir.
P3: Ok, it's not an issue. What did you prepare for this interview?
Me: Some basic definitions about bank and its functions,sir.
P3: Apart from banking definition what else you know very well i.e.
sports,politics,current affairs or any favourite subject
Me: I said I am good at Tamilnadu history,sir and l know little bit about Indian
history too.
P3: How many district are there in Tamilnadu?
Me: Totally there are 32 districts,sir.
P3: Which was the last district that has been created recently?
Me: I said Ariyalur district was created from Perambalur district,later on Tirupur
district was created from Coimbatore district,sir.
P2: Say any 4 hill stations in Taminadu?
Me: I said Nilgiris,Yercaud,Aanaimudi and Western Ghats.
P2: Is Western Ghats a hill station? suddenly P3 interrupted and said he missed
Kodaikanal, ok, which is the place where many issues have arisen regarding production of electricity particularly in TN?
Me: I said Cauveri river and P2 said not that one another place and I Guessed and
said Kudankulam Nuclear plant,sir.
P4: Yes,that is the place where people protested against to start nuclear plant.
P2: You said kaveri river in between right, so tell me who was the person
crowned as " Ponniyin Selvi" recently regarding Cauveri River issue?
Me: I said our Honourable CM Selvi J.Jayalalitha,sir.
P2: Why?
Me: I said because she was the one who has struggled many years for the Kaveri
river issue to be notified in Indian Gazatte.
P2: Do you know about Ponniyin Selvan?
Me : I said I don't know, sir.
P1: What is your score in clerk III CWE?
Me: I said 93 ,sir ( P1 and P3 noted it down )
P3: You have studied in Sri Venkateswara College of Engg., and scored 93 marks
in clerk exam so you will not stay as a bank clerk and you will go out if you get
a good job?
Me: But sir I have decided my career as a banker and I would start as a clerk then
I would work hard and get promoted to next scale.
P2: Why didn't you try for PO?
Me: Sir, I have cleared IBPS-PO III CWE and scored just 58, sir.
P1: What was the cutoff to pass the exam?
Me: Sir, as I belong to SC category,I need to score 50 to clear the exam and I got
58,so I am in a danger zone.
P1: 58 is a good score and still you have a chance.
Me: But sir many aspirants scored upto 150 in AP, Haryana and Delhi.
P3: For TN it's a good score.
Me : But sir, IBPS-Clerk cutoff will vary from state to state and it's not so
incase of IBPS-PO.
P3: Tell some of the Public sector and private sector banks based in TN and it's
headquarters?
Me: Indian Bank Headquartered at Chennai, IOB-Chennai, Lakshmi Vilas
Bank - Karur, Karur Vysya Bank - Karur, Tamilnad Mercantile Bank -Tuticorin.
P1: Say some sanctuaries in TN?
Me: Vedanthangal Birds sanctuary, Mundanthurai Tiger reserve,and Vandalur.
P2: Have you heared about Slave dynasty?
Me: Yes sir, Gutub-ud-in-Aybak was the 1st king of slave dynasty.
P2: Who became the next king after him?
Me: I don't know,sir. And in between They gave me snacks and asked me to eat.
P4 : First Bank nationalization
Me: I have started with there are 21 nationalized banks and she asked me to tell
only the year and I said In 1969, 14 banks were nationalized, mam and
she said that's enough.
P3: All the Best, You can leave.
Me: I stood and started moving out,suddenly P1,P2 and P4 asked in unison," did
you read the Tamil news paper that is kept in front of you?" ( There was a Tamil
daily paper in front of me)
P3: Sir he is speaking Tamil very well and there is no doubt it.
P1,P2: Can you write in Tamil?
Me: I said I have completed upto +2 only in Tamil medium and I can read and write
Tamil very well,sirs. They convinced and I thanked all of them and left the room.

Well, this is my interview experience friends and the whole interview was only in Tamil language I have translated them into English in order to make it understandable to other state bank aspirants.
