Venue: Bank of India Staff Building, Sector-62, Noida

I reached at venue at around 8:15. By 8:30 documentation process started. My number for verification of interview came around 10:15. Then after verification I was asked to wait for my turn. My turn came at 11.

There were 4 interviewers. All men. All were above 50 except one. He was in his late 30's. I greeted them Good morning. They were all smiling already.


M1: What is price of your house? Do u know the circle rates? (he read in my form that i live in delhi)
Me: Told him
M1: What does your father do?
Me: answered
M1: What is his job profile?
Me: answered
M1: What is history behind your college name?
Me: told him i dont know
M1: How did your graduation changed you?
Me: Answered
M2: What have you been doing since 2 years?
Me: Answered
M2: Why banking?
Me: answered
M2: Do u have any relative in your family in bank?
Me: answered
M1: What is profile of PO?
Me: answered
M2: Why you have chosen Canara bank as first preference?
Me: answered ( i told him that i like their infrastructure and their staff is very humble)
M2: What is Fixed deposit rate of Canara?
Me: answered
M3: What is repo? reverse repo? financial inclusion?
Me: answered
M4: what is corporate governance?
Me: answered
M1: why should we choose you? why do u think you are best for this job?
Me: answered

They said you can go now.

ANALYSIS :
I found my interview very frank. All of them were very kind and very humble and they were giving me smiles all the time making me comfortable. I din know the answer of one question which was the history of my college name but they din say anything and moved on with next question. There were moments when they were contradicting me in few things when I was explaining to them that work culture of few banks of allahabad n punjab n sind bank is not good. They gave me thier point of view but I stuck with mine. And din budge. I gave all answers smiling.

My suggestion :
Do not use heavy english words. They get confused. It happened with me. I was using fancy words but then I judged their looks and found that they din u'stand a word what i was saying so I switched to normal mode. I even spoke in hindi coz one of them asked me in hindi and i thought its best if I give answer in the same language. Just be yourself and dont lie. If you dont know anything say it. Dont put on. And dont forget that they are nice people. Just show that you are keen to work in a government bank. All the best !!!
