2014 Interview Review Of IBPS PO By Participant

Qualification : B.Tech (CSE) 2010

I reached the venue at 8 am, document verification was started at 8.30 and my turns for verification comes at 10.30 am. Interview turn comes at 12.30 pm. There were four members in the panel, all were male and age was 50-55 of each, i assigne them M1, M2, M3, M4 ( from my left to right)
I entered the room and wished them, they offered me seat and then countdown begins..

M2- Naam kya hai tumhara?
Me- Answered

M2- Kaha se aaye ho?
Me- Answered

(I was thinking why they asking q's like this way in hindi)

M2- Ghar me kon kon h?
M2- Parents kya krte h?
M2-Job nature ( as i hv shown 2 yrs exp of IT)
M2- Job kyu chhod di?
M2- salary kitni thi?

Than M2 told M1 to ask me q's

M1- SLR kya hota hai?
Me- Answered

M1- Name of one RBI Deputy governer?
Me- Answered

M1- Priority Sector lending? And what % for agriculture?
Me- I told him which was given on RBI website FAQ section that 40% for priority sector and 18% for agriculture. But he said i m wrong, 18% for weaker section. ( He said hm btate h)

M4- Sources for banks income?
Me- Such a simple q but i missed at that time, i took a pause for 6-7 seconds ( eye contact broken ) ,i M2 said beta tumse umeed h tabh pucha h itni jaldi kaise haar maan gye?

Than i replied.
M4 said beta aata to h tumhe.

M4- What is NPA? When it occures? What are the results?
Me- I replied first two and dont know third one ( i dont know exact for this)

Than he told M3 to ask answers
M3- Open my B.tech marksheets and said i will ask you from your subjects, tell me only defition?

M3- What is switching theory?
Me- not exact answer but given.

M3- What is Data Structures?
M3- What is artificial intelligence?
M3- What is Networks and Synthesis?
About Two more subjects ( i didn't remember the name)

Me- I managed the answers.

M3- Ok, One more question, What is Retail Banking?
Me- I don't know sir. (This q irritated me as after a rapid fire of B.tech subjects)

They wished me Best Of Luck and i said Thank You. INTERVIEW OVER
Duration was 12-13 min

Total conversation was in hindi, I prepared well but i am not satisfied with interview q's asked. Very few q's from banking, No economy, no current. Hope for the best.. Jai Bholenath.

NOTE - One of my friend ( also Btech) also given on same venue, his all the qs were related to agriculture ( No Single q from banking) like suger mills, crops, production, his field area etc. In between panel also discussed in hindi that "ye b.tech wale aa jate h aise hi jb nh milti kahi, inka koi interest nahi h banking me."

It was totally unexpected interview so guys they might ask from anywhere dont knw what the use of sugercane crop that how can u increase production.. ha ha ha (we are not here for agriculture officer, n waise bh agriculture officer ko kheti thode hi na krni h)
