Cabinet approves quota hike of subsidised LPG cylinders to 12
i. Days after Rahul Gandhi demanded, at a mega Congress conclave, that the quota of subsidised LPG per household be raised from nine to 12 cylinders a year, the Union Cabinet has today approved the proposal.
ii. The move will cover 97 per cent consumers and it is expected to inflate the government's subsidy bill by 5000 crore rupees, Oil Minister Veerappa Moily said today. The government currently spends Rs.46,000 crore a year on LPG subsidy, at a time when the economy is struggling with slow growth and high inflation.
iii. Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi had said at a party meet in Delhi earlier this month, "Pradhan Mantriji (Prime Minister, Sir), we cannot make do with just nine subsidized cylinders of cooking gas. Women in this country need more. We need 12 per family, sir, please increase the quota."
iv. Several Congress MPs have also been pushing for the rollback; leaders reckon that the populist move will stand the party in good stead in the general elections, due by May.

IBA Offered 10% Increase: UFBU Rejected the Offer : 10th BPS Update on27.01.2014
Click Here for Bank Employees Expected Salaries after 10% Increase Offer
As usually, IBA playing with the sentiments of Bankers. After calling off the strike on 21st & 22nd January 2014, Today i.e., 27.01.2014, IBA called for talks to proceed with 10th Bipartite Settlement which is due since 01.11.2012. In the today's meeting i.e., on 27th January 2014, IBA Offered 0.5% increase over the previous 9.5% offer. This is not at an acceptable move by IBA. Even though no date was mentioned for next round of talks, UFBU called for strike on 10th & 11th February 2014.
First of all, It was a bad move by UFBU to call off the strike on 20 & 21 Jan 2014. If we have participated in strike as per prior call by UFBU, this mere increase would not have happened. So, at least now, we have to participate in strike on 10th & 11th February 2014. I will post the gross salaries as per the 10% increase tonight. Post views in comments section.

2014 Thane Janata Sahakari Bank Ltd (TJSB) Trainee Officers on-lineexam Review
2014 Thane Janata Sahakari Bank Ltd (TJSB) Trainee Officers on-line exam Review
Name : Jeevan Bhagwat
Online Exam Center : Don Bosco IT, Bangalore, Karnataka
Exam Date : 25-01-2014 (Morning session)
Exam was moderate, Difficulty level was as same as IBPS CWE Clerk III.
But here only 4 sections (No computer Knowledge section) each carries 50 questions.
Here is my Sectional wise Review :
Reasoning section : Was Very easy. Anyone can attempt 28-35 questions easily.
Quantitative Aptitude : Time consuming. Possible attempt is 25 questions.
English : Very Very easy Possible attempt is 40-45 questions.
General Awareness : Moderate. Possible attempt is 35 - 40 questions.
But the online exam experience was very bad. In our centre the server was down, so for every question we had to wait for 8-10 seconds. And many candidates suddenly logged out because of the down server. At that time they shifted to another computer. My friend had changed 7 computers because of this down server. It was really irritating because everyone came with a new hope, but if they face these problems during exam hours, they will lost their flow, answer design. While attending reasoning, Q.A and eng comprehension and we are in middle of comprehension and if we got a sudden log out then we have to start our analysis again from the begining. Other than this overall exam experience was nice.

Click Here for Bank Employees Expected Salaries after 10% Increase Offer
Dear Bankers and Upcoming Bankers, another round of talks on 10th Bipartite Settlement for Banker Employees is scheduled on 27th January 2014. I will post the outcome tomorrow at 5PM. I am not expecting any big move. Just 3.5 or 4% movement over 9.5% i.e., 13% or 14%. But how will UFBU responds for this increase is a big question. We should not accept until we get above 20% increment. Then only it will become a reasonable amount of increment. To make this happen, UFBU should reject their offer for another 3 or 4 meetings. I will post the increased salaries list bsed on current Basic Pay tomorrow after completion of meeting. So, visit our website tomorrow.

Bank Wage Revision - 10th Bipartite Settlement | IBA to holdwage-revision talks with unions on January 17
Bank Wage-Revision - 10th Bipartite Settlement | IBA to hold wage-revision talks with unions on January 17
The Indian Banks’ Association (IBA), which represents the managements of nationalized, private and foreign banks in the country, has invited the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU), a collective of nine bank trade unions, for wage negotiations on January 17, 2014 ahead of the two-day all-India bank strike beginning on January 20.
This follows the suggestion by the Central Chief Labour Commissioner (CLC), B.S. Bansariya, who held conciliation talks with the UFBU and the IBA. The talks were held at the Labour Ministry’s office in New Delhi on January 13.
The CLC suggested the two sides to hold negotiations for a wage-revision agreement. The IBA had earlier called the unions for talks on January 29, but the unions had wanted the talks to be held before the strike.
Bansariya pointed out that the two-day strike called by UFBU would inconvenience bank customers and hurt the economy.
He urged the IBA to hold bilateral negotiations before the strike. The IBA agreed and proposed January 17 as the day for talks which the UFBU agreed to. The unions want the wage negotiation process be held in a time-bound manner, and the two sides have agreed to wrap up the process by June.
The fate of the strike will be decided in the meeting on January 17, “If the IBA makes a satisfactory improvement on its initial offer of wage hike, we will revisit the strike call. But if the IBA disappoints us, we will certainly go ahead with the strike,” C.H. Venkatachalam, General-Secretary, All-India Bank Employees Association, said.

Cristiano RonaldoRonaldo scored 69 goals for Real Madrid and Portugal last year, and his stunning hat trick against Sweden in a decisive World Cup playoff was perhaps the defining individual performance.
“There are no words to describe this moment,” said Ronaldo, who was sobbing in tears after he accepting the trophy with his young son, also named Cristiano, beside him on stage.
He defeated Barcelona’s Messi and France winger Franck Ribery, who helped Bayern Munich to a sweep of major titles.
Voting was done by national team captains and coaches, plus selected journalists, in FIFA’s 209 member countries.
