IBPS PO 2012 - 2013 Vacancies in Participating Banks (Official Data)

IBPS Probationary Officer 2013 vacancies are released by IBPS officially now. They have released Notification regarding obtaining Preferences for Participating Banks in Common Recruitment Process for IBPS CWE-PO/MT-II. The schedule of subsequent activities is given below:

Important Dates (Tentative):

Declaration of combined result of CWE & Interview: Second week of February 2013
Registration of order of preference for banks by the successful candidates: 20.02.2013-28.02.2013
Allotment: March 2013

IBPS PO 2012 - 2013 category-wise vacancies in participating banks is as follows:



Some Important Points:

1. Candidates successful in both CWE and interview are advised to register their order of preference for all the Participating organisations. This is the only valid means of indicating preferences for Participating Organisations and no other means will be accepted.

2. Depending on the vacancies, a successful candidate will be allotted to one of the Participating Organisations in order of merit cum preference.

3. Communication regarding allotment will be sent to candidates to the details specified by the candidate in the online application form while registering for CWE PO/MT-II.

4. Vacancies remaining unfilled on account of candidates declining an offer/ additional vacancies in any Participating organisation, will be filled from among the remaining candidates, through subsequent iterations. A waitlist will be prepared from among the remaining successful candidates which will be valid upto 31.03.2014 or allotment of the next round whichever is earlier.

5. Any request for change in allotment will not be entertained.

6. A candidate who is successful in interview will forfeit his/her candidature/ chance for the process if he/she does not
(1) exercise the option of indicating preferences through the prescribed process
(2) avail the offer of appointment from the Participating organisation.

State Bank of India (SBI) PO 2013 Selection Procedure

State Bank of India Probationary Officer 2013 exam is scheduled to held on 28th April 2013. Online registration of application is started from 30th January 2013. This post is for newcomers who are applying for the first time.

Selection Procedure:

Phase - 1. Written Exam
Phase - 2. Group Discussion & Interview

Phase - 1. Written Examination consisting of Objective Tests and Descriptive Test.

I) Objective Tests (200 marks & 2 hours Duration): The Objective Test consists of 4 sections with 50 marks each as follows:

(a) English Language (Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension etc)
(b) General Awareness, Marketing and Computers
(c) Data Analysis and Interpretation
(d) Reasoning (High Level)

The candidates are required to qualify in each section by securing passing marks, to be decided by the Bank on the basis of the performance of all the competing candidates taken together in each test to a minimum required level for each category.

II) Descriptive Test (50 marks & 1 hour Duration): The Descriptive Test will be of Test of English
Language (comprehension, short précis, letter writing & essay).

The candidates are required to qualify in the Descriptive Test by securing passing marks, to be
decided by the Bank.

Descriptive Test paper of only those candidates will be evaluated who have scored qualifying
marks in the Objective Tests.

Phase - 2. Group Discussion (20 marks) & Interview (30 marks)

The aggregate marks of candidates qualifying in both the Objective Tests and Descriptive Test will be
arranged in descending order in each category and the candidates in the order of merit, subject to 3 times
the number of vacancies in each category, will be called for Group Discussion and Interview. The qualifying marks in Group Discussion & Interview will be as decided by the Bank.

Final Selection:

The candidates will have to qualify both in Phase-I and Phase-II separately.

Marks secured by the candidates in the Written Test (out of 250 marks maximum) are converted to out of 75 and marks secured in Group Discussion & Interview (out of 50 marks maximum) are converted to out of 25. The final merit list is arrived at after aggregating converted marks of Written Test and Group Discussion & Interview out of 100 for each category. The selection will be made from the top merit ranked candidates in each category.

IBPS IT Officer Scale 1 Professional Knowledge Syllabus | Bank ITOfficer Scale 1 2013 Syllabus

IBPS IT Officer Scale 1 online exam is going to be conducted on 16th or 17th March 2013. For this exam, you have to read the standard books prescribed in your B.Tech syllabus book. Then only you can answer the questions. If you have prepared for the GATE exam, revise that syllabus. Bank IT Officer exam professional knowledge questions are mainly from DBMS, Computer Networks, Operating Systems. DBMS is the most important subject. 50 to 60% of the questions comes from these 3 subjects only.

SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam (CGLE) 2013 Tier 1 (Paper 1) Syllabus

Here is the syllabus for SSC CGL Exam 2013 which going to be conducted on 14th & 21st April 2013. SSC CGLE 2013 Syllabus is as follows:

A. General Intelligence & Reasoning : It would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. B. General Awareness : Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidates general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of every day observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Policy & Scientific Research.

C. Quantitative Aptitude : The questions will be designed to test the ability of appropriate use of numbers and number sense of the candidate. The scope of the test will be computation of whole numbers, decimals ,fractions and relationships between numbers, Percentage. Ratio & Proportion,Square roots, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Partnership Business, Mixture and Alligation, Time and distance, Time & Work, Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra & Elementary surds, Graphs of Linear Equations, Triangle and its various kinds of centres, Congruence and similarity of triangles, Circle and its chords, tangents, angles subtended by chords of a circle, common tangents to two or more circles, Triangle, Quadrilaterals, Regular Polygons , Circle, Right Prism, Right Circular Cone, Right Circular Cylinder, Sphere, Hemispheres, Rectangular Parallelepiped, Regular Right Pyramid with triangular or square base, Trigonometric ratio, Degree and Radian Measures, Standard Identities, Complementary angles, Heights and Distances, Histogram, Frequency polygon, Bar diagram & Pie chart

D. English Comprehension : Candidates’ ability to understand correct English, his basic comprehension and writing ability, etc. would be tested.

Note: SSC CGL Tier-I examination is used to screen the candidates for appearing in Tier-II examination for various papers which will be specifically required for different groups of posts. However, marks of such screened candidates in Tier-I will be taken into account for final ranking of candidates for selecting them for the interview/skill test and also final selection.

For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by you, one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty. If for any question you give more than one answer, it will be treated as wrong even if one of the given answers happens to be right and there will be the same penalty as above for that question. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is given by you, there will be no penalty for that question. YOU SHOULD THEREFORE BE CAREFUL IN MARKING YOUR ANSWERS.
