SBI Clerks Exam on 20th July 2014 (Afternoon Session) Experience

Hi friends I am Hemnath from Tamilnadu, I would like to share my experience. My exam was held on 20th July 2014 (Afternoon Session)

First section i attended was General Awareness
about 22 questions were very easy you can get the answers at first glance
Questions i feel tough in that section are
  1. Number of villages in India
  2. A question related to RBI
  3. P5+1 country
  4. Economic summit
  5. USA bank name- ans federal reserve
  6. Election one question if a candidate win two seats like our pm within how many days he has to resign
Some questions related to banking and current affairs

Don't study only last six months current affairs..focus on last ten months.

Focus on new schemes related to bank.

The easy question in my exam are
  1. Committee formed to investigate ipl
  2. HRD minister
  3. Profession of finance minister
If you feel weak in this section just follow basic things correctly.

See the committee, Cups, Elections, Ministry, Appointments, Related to Bank heads..

Computer & Marketing
In marketing no basic questions involved and questions are practically thinking and confusing..little bit tricky..prepare marketing a par above. not tough but time required to answer. I am unable to recollect the marketing questions. Sorry for that.

For Computer Knowledge follow basic topics correctly
  • about memory
  • keys in the key board
  • about printers
  • concentrate on xcel
  • question
  • chart gives ....
  • data related question
  • related to hard ware and software
  • input and out put device
  • questions like which of the following are output device
  • one question related to input device
If you feel marketing is tough, then  go for only computer you can easily able to do 22 questions.but prepare well computer knowledge

English
Most of the people say that the passages are lengthy and time consuming but my advice is... spend little time on it...  Just a story is given and 10 question are asked. You can easily get them in less time, with good accuracy.

then substitution also five questions,
if any one feel weak in english go for this section first you can get up to 12 marks then you go for remaining sections

ReasoningThis section was only time consuming, nothing tricky
  • Same linear arrangements
  • circular arrange ment facing centre and outside
  • directions
  • sllygism(very easy)
  • then  blood relations
Aptitude
My sincere advice is "Go for Data Interpretation first". Five questions based on basic maths (addition subraction ,average ,percentage only). You will get five marks easily.
Then go for series..two easy questions you will get.
Then if you are good with numbers go for it if not go for Average. Ratio proportions, Time and work, Profit and loss and SI.
You can easily attend 15 questions, for remaining questions you have to think and work.

Some Tips : Once you entered the exam hall they will give rough papers collect two or three rough papers. You will have one hr time for basic formalities like signature, thumb impressions etc. Don't idle at this time,  write reverse pair  letters like az,by,cx, sq no 1 to 50,cubes 1 to 15, Positions and place values of letters etc. These will definitely come handy to you during your exam.

My mistake is I attended English as 3rd but I advise you to keep it last..because it needs little time only (about 20 min) I wasted 20 min extra here as questions are very easy, they tempted me to attempt more questions...  after computr go for reasoning, Aptitude then English.. So that you can able to attend more questions in apti and reasoning with free mind...at last minute I was in a hurry and i cant able get answers for aptitude questions...now i feel english should be done at last

All the best guys ...if anyone feel inspired by seeing my  review i will be very happy.

Delhi High Court Asked IBPS & Finance Ministry To Furnish Details About Vacancies

As reported by "Business Standard", the Delhi High Court asked Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) and Finance Ministry to furnish details about vacancies in all nationalised banks here within one month.

Justice Hima Kohli directed the ministry to furnish the details by November 11 after a group of bank aspirants moved the court against the government notification to keep 10 per cent reservation.

The court was hearing a petition filed by candidates, who appeared in the tests for various posts in all nationalised banks, claiming the 10 percent vacancies which were not filled in the first round of counselling be alloted to other qualified candidates based upon the marks scored by them instead of carrying them forward.

"Despite availability of vacancies in the financial year 2014-2015 to accommodate qualified candidates, the respondents are attempting to not fill up entire vacancies in the financial year 2014-15 but only fill limited vacancies and carry forward remaining vacancies to the next financial year 2014-2015," the petition alleged.

As per clause 10 of the notice, a reserve list to the extent of approximately 10 per cent of the vacancies under each category has been kept, subject to the availability of candidates.

"The petitioner are aggrieved by the decision of IBPS to limit filling up of vacancies available for the year 2014-15 to 10 per cent of the reserve list for the post.

"There may be many more vacancies which are created either as a result of non-joining of qualified candidates in first round and also fresh vacancies that are created. It is totally unfair to keep the available vacancies unfilled," the petition states.

2014 SBI Clerks Exam Analysis Given By Real Candidate

Hi this is Meenakshi from Chennai. (20-7-2014) I attended the SBI clerical examination. I don't know why people are complaining alot that the paper was difficult. I felt the paper was easy. Let's start my review with the Marketing and Computer Knowledge sections.

Marketing and Computer knowledge:
You can easily answer 15 to 20 questions of computer section in the first glance itself.
Marketing is not tat much tough it was a little bit tricky that's it. If you read the given question twice, you can easily answer it.

English:
Reading Comprehension : You can answer all the questions of it in the first glance itself. So, don't waste much time on it.
Jumbled sentences, spot the errors all are easy. You can score upto 35 marks.

General Awareness:
In this part you can able to score 25 and above. Eventhough banking awareness questions are there, but they are not tough. They are asking only basic questions. The questions are like currency, author of a book, autism day lies in which day, CRR etc.

Quantitative Aptitude:
Here you concentrate first on missing number in the series, then go for simplification, then attend DI. Then attend regular Quant problems.

Reasoning :
This section was easy go for syllogisms, equation type alphabet problem and basic problems.
Then go for the Circular Arrangement(Inside and outside directions), Linear Arrangement, Days( Mon to Sun).

I answered totally 149 questions with good accuracy.

My Suggestion : Don't completely depend on negative reviews of the exam. Work hard and please try to utilize the time properly. You will definitely come with flying colors. And All the Best for you ppl. Do well :)
