The much awaited IBPS PO 2013 CWE 3 is released. The exam is scheduled to held in October 2013. But it is not a happy news for many. You need to have 60% in graduation to write this exam. Any eligible candidate, who aspires to join any of the Participating Organisations listed at (A) as a Probationary Officer/ Management Trainee or in a similar post in that cadre, is required to register for the Common Written Examination (CWE PO/MT-III). Candidates who appear and are shortlisted in the examination, will subsequently be called for a Common Interview to be conducted by the Participating Organisations and co- ordinated by IBPS. Depending on the available vacancies in Participating organisations, candidates shortlisted will be allotted to one of the Participating Banks.
All 19 PSU Banks are participating in this recruitment process. You apply online from 22.07.2013 to 12.08.2013. Tentative schedule is as follows.

Eligibility Criteria:
Age (As on 01.07.2013):
Minimum: 20 years Maximum: 28 years i.e. a candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.07.1985 and not later than 01.07.1993 (both dates inclusive). For details on Relaxation in upper age limit for reservation candidates refer notification for full details.
Educational Qualification:
Degree with 60% marks in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
The percentage of marks stipulated for the Educational Qualification is for General (Unreserved) Category Candidates. Candidates belonging to the Reserved Category (SC / ST/ PWD), filling in vacancies reserved for the relevant category, will be entitled to a relaxation of 5% marks in relation to that stipulated for General Category candidates. Candidates belonging to SC / ST/ PWD categories filling in “unreserved” vacancies will not be entitled to the above referred relaxation Computer Literacy : Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute.
Note: (1) Candidate should indicate the percentage obtained in Graduation calculated to the nearest two decimals in the online application. Where CGPA / OGPA is awarded, the same should be converted into percentage and indicate the same in online application .
(2) All the educational qualifications mentioned should be from a recognized University / Institution and the result should have been declared on or before 01.07.2013. Proper document from Board / University for having declared the result on or before 01.07.2013 has to be submitted at the time of interview. The date of passing the examination which is reckoned for eligibility will be the date of passing appearing on the marksheet/ Provisional certificate.
(3) Calculation of Percentage : The percentage marks shall be arrived at by dividing the marks obtained by the candidate in all the subjects in all semester(s)/year(s) by aggregate maximum marks in all the subjects irrespective of honours / optional / additional optional subject, if any. This will be applicable for those Universities also where Class / Grade is decided on basis of Honours marks only. The fraction of percentage so arrived will be ignored i.e. 59.99% will be treated as less than 60% and 54.99% will be treated as less than 55%.
IBPS PO 2013 - 2014 Online Exam consists of 200 questions carry 200 marks. I will explain the syllabus in detail in my next post. There is no descriptive paper this time. Graduation 60% is very bad. Below 60% scorers are not fools or unfit for PO job. It is a bad move by PSU Banks.

sir i am graduate from bihar university.my % is 63.5 but on only hons subject. can i eligible.
ReplyDeletesomeone is telling that we have to provide the % on all subjects. like adding the marks of all subsidiary and hons subjects of all year.
but in this process i got only 58.8 %.
can i apply or not
please reply sir
it is true. they have mentioned it clearly in eligibility criteria section. u need to calculate % on all subjects. read the notification again.
ReplyDeleteNo matter that ([IBPS, associated banks, gov.]whatever u like) have full right to make changes in eligibility criteria. I did my grad. in Engg. and got aggregate 59.48%. At present i am working in mnc company, well that company don't care more about the percentage, but care about the performance. i wanted to switch in banking sector but this po criteria don't...does 0.52% differentiate any education Quali. bet. 2 people. well what about jobseekers who studied for 1yr just to b a damm po or those who have cross 28, yesterday.
ReplyDeleteI am not saying that [I,s,g] would have taken this decision blindly. they are good people.they might have thought it many times before coming to this conclusion. "But, if RULES ARE RULES they SHOULD BE SAME FOR ALL" -wise person will understand it.
in po 2 i am not selected due to low marks and i prepare hard for po 3 . but this time i can't give exam.
ReplyDeletethis is very very very bad for me and this is not fare for students like me .
dear sir any possible for ibps is going to change percentage this reply me sir have only 54 % percentage mark all the frd s send mail to ibps to change percenatge crtiteria
ReplyDeleteI have 59.99% after getting converted to % from CGPA.
ReplyDeletefor only 0.01% i cant give the exam. Its totally not fare.
All students should write 2 IBPS for changing of the eligibilty criteria.
sir i have above 60 in all semester.what is mean of addivertisement of ibps.expect 60 i all sem 60 in each sub is also necessary.i have done btech
ReplyDeleteDear Admin, the given eligibility criteria for PO III is a shocking news and i don't want to agree with this policy. Even upsc doesn't set % system of eligibility criteria. I believe every graduate who wants to work for banking sector must have been preparing for the III phase of po CWE ipbs exam for the last many months but this new circulation has shattered their dreams of becoming po. I don't agree that those who are with 60% are better off than that of with 45% in many aspects. We need to launch a rally against the new discriminatory eligibility criteria. Many students are getting frustrated, if any untoward incident happens out of frustration with any ipbs po aspirant then IPBS will be responsible for this cause. This new eligibility criteria should be changed at the earliest. Help us admin pls pls!
ReplyDeleteGratuation me 58% aur MBA me 6.8 CGPA hai (From ICFAI University) ,am i eligible to give PO exam.
ReplyDeleteWaiting for reply.
Thanks.
sir what about po2 waiting list. after po3 notification it will not come?
ReplyDeletedear admin please reply
ReplyDeletei agree with u..but govt of India has taken the decision. RRB PO is only one option for candidates having less than 60%. RRB's are not bad at all as others think. Infrastructure wise they may look bad but working conditions are same every where. I got several opportunities in PSU banks as PO. But i joined RRB PO, bcoz i can stay in my local area. After some experience, i can even get posting in my own town. it is not possible for PSU PO's. You have to go out of state. Ok.. Be positive.
ReplyDeletesir, po 2 wait list will come or not? As po 3 comes now. What should i do my score 61.88 is there any chance in 2nd list
ReplyDeleteIts True...even UPSC CSAT exam has not any percentage criteria. Its the level of performance in CWE should matter, not the percentage in graduation. Guys those who have below percentage keep write to IBPS. Demand your rights.
ReplyDeleteIN Graduation my % is 58% and in post graduation 60% .
ReplyDeletesir i am able to fill form of ibps po 3 pls reply ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
After much waiting finally PO 3 has come but with several shock. First of all the Educational criteria has been changed and most important of all the age limit for PO has been reduced to 28 years which is a real shock. Is is possible that it may be some error as till today for PO age limit was 30 years then suddenly how could it be reduced to 28 years.
ReplyDeleteThis is wrong decision from the officials of ibps.when they are taking all india test, then let the merit decide.friends we have to file a case in court for justice and to stop them.
ReplyDeletepo 2 w8ing list will be released in october. u will have chance
ReplyDeleteThis is really shocking, utter non-sense and very very condemnable on part of IBPS to change the eligibility criteria to 60%.It proves there inability to conduct the important exam of PO.I have read somewhere where IBPS has written they are unable to handle such a huge amount of candidature so they are increasing the eligibility to 60%.Its a setback to those who have less then 60% and what is irony that even 59.99% cant apply.I think IBPS is totally failure. In terms of eligiblity regarding percentage criteria there should be a policy of "Opprtunity to All and Appeasement to None".Since Ministry of Finance approved the increase in eligibility criteria it is also a failure of recruitment policy like other so called policies of UPA Government. Why not file a Public Interest litigation in Supreme Court to put a stay on IBPS notification of PO.In the larger interest of student community i request all the aspirants who have less then 60% marks to unite and file a litigation in the court or write in bulk to Finance Minister or Prime Minister grievance cell.
ReplyDeletethey wont change it. Govt & PSU banks have taken the decision. IBPS has nothing to with it. They wont change. prepare for RRB PO exam.
ReplyDeletePO 2 w8ing will be released later.
ReplyDeletetotal % should be above 60. u don't need to have 60 in every semester.
ReplyDeleteYou are true Siddharth. Though qualifying in PO 2. There are no sign of second phase till now. Its almost more than a yr we ve given the exam. & in PO 3 CWE, i cant give bkz i have 59.99% in Graduation.
ReplyDeleteSince i am working in corporate sector with a leading MNC i am least interested in writing any bank exams. But my heart feels pain when i see my counterparts who are fully devoted to the cause of getting a job in banks are feeling frustrated and agitated. If percentage of graduation matters then UPSC must have made eligibility of Civil Services to 60% way back.Banks are no way prestigious then Civil Services.I have seen a lot of civil servants who have qualified the requisite exam with meagre 52% marks.I have read somewhere banks want to select fine candidates with over 60% marks. What an irony?
ReplyDeleteSo,IBPS admit you are incapable of conducting any of the bank exams.Unemployment&frustration is stored for future candidates who have less than 60% marks.I encourage everybody to fight the case legally. When you fight for yourself and lakhs of other aspirants there is no way to think You are wasting your time.
dear adm. i have got 61% marks in hons. paper but in agg. i got only 52%......i have apply ibps po3 or not pls reply
ReplyDeleteI have passed BE electonicsand communication engineering and i have studied computer a one of the subjects in college. Is it necessry to bring a seperate computer certificate
ReplyDeleteTHERE IS NO OPTION TO APPLY FOR IBPS PO.
ReplyDeleteDEAR
ReplyDeletesaurav , u are not eligible to apply for this cwe exam.
aggregate 60% is needed for IBPS PO 3. So u r not eligible.
ReplyDeleteIn IBPS 3 recruitment they have mentioned age limit 28 years which is not correct for the aspirants, In all previous IBPS PO exams and other Bank age limit was 30 years! To consider this many associates were also preparing for exam who was from age of 29 or 30 years. Now, their all hard work are going to waste. If IBPS was planned to decrease in age limit they should announce in public forum in earlier years so that such persons can preparing for other exams. IBPS should re-consider for the age limit.
