Why IBPS PO 2012 Allotment Results Temporarily Suspended/ Kept inAbeyance & FAQs Answered

images No Change In Cutoff Marks In IBPS PO 2012 Allotment Revised Result

I was always appreciating IBPS personnel whenever the situation comes. But i didnt expected this kind of mistake from IBPS which is very Important task. I was ignoring some comments yesterday who are saying that they he was a OBC candidate selected for BOB with 63.XX marks in Unreserved category. Thought that they were lying. But yesterday night i got few doubts after reading the much more comments like this and felt that something went wrong and sent mail to IBPS( Of course, many candidates sent mails earlier than me). They didn't sent any reply but i was hoping that they will do something in favor of us. As expected, IBPS realised their mistake. It is a heart breaking and shocking news for many who are celebrating their success and Good news for those who are feeling bad about the allotment process.

My View:

As far i know, the only reason for suspending the result is misallotment of banks. There were 2 possibilities for this mistake.

Case: 1. The procedure followed by IBPS might be wrong. Earlier, I posted one article on how the IBPS PO 2012 Allotment Process will be done. If we observe the process they followed, we can say that all the Reserve category candidates (3k) in top 11k allotted the banks first and ignored the toppers in general category. After allotting the banks to Reserve category candidates from Unreserved vacancies, remaining Unreserved seats were allotted to General candidates. So, toppers didn't get their 1st & 2nd preferences i.e., BOB & PNB which is common for almost all candidates and allotted the 3rd preference because there are no vacancies for General candidates in those banks. It was the procedural mistake. They should not have followed this kind of procedure. After filling, 11k UR vacancies, reserved vacancies filled up. Because of this mistake everything went wrong.

In this case there will be no change in cutoffs because UR vacancies are filled to top 11k only. Re-allotment will be done to allot right bank according to the merit.

Case: 2. There might be a programming error, which allotted all the vacancies in BOB and PNB under UR category to only reserve category candidates as literally no one in General category got BOB or PNB.

Ok.. Lets hope for the Best! Expecting revised result by Saturday or Monday.

Here is some FAQs in comments section and answers:

1. Will cutoff change after revised result of IBPS PO 2012 Allotment Result?

Ans: If they have followed 1st procedure, there will be no change in cutoff marks, only banks allotted to you will be changed. If the 2nd case is true, Cutoff for General will decrease and Cutoff for Reserved category candidates will increase.

2. Do they consider graduate % after revised result?

Ans: I can say NO, because it was not a problem for abeyance of result.

3. If a candidate is alloted a bank now, but He/She is not eligible according to the individual bank criteria, will He/She loose it??

Ans: They wont allot you to that particular bank if you are not eligible. Actually there is no criteria of graduation % this time. All the candidates are eligible for all banks. They will follow some criteria from next recruitment.

I will answer to many more questions/ doubts after the revised result released. I will explain what next after allotment is done. Ok.. Wish You Good Luck!

Update: (15th March 07:32PM)

Whether u believe it or not, almost 90% of the toppers opted for BOB n PNB as their top 2 preferences. No one got these 2 banks. But the candidates with 62 and 63 in OBC, SC, ST got BOB and PNB in unreserved category. Even though every one eligible for UR vacancies, allotment should be done based on Merit list but not based on category. This is a clarification for some of the comments below.

Update: (16th March 09:18AM)
Some people commenting like they got reply from IBPS. So, dont follow those comments. Some people even using my Nickname Admin to post cutoff marks pretending that they got those cutoffs from IBPS. So, i advice you to just beat them away if any one post comments like that. Believe them only when they post the email proof

  3. @admin, if ibps will follow 1st procedure then it will create problem for top scoring candidates in reserved category. because if they (top scorers of reserved category) will get seats in unreserved category then they wont be able to get their top preferences as competition in generals is very high, but a low scoring reserved category student who dont qualify in general merit but is at top immediately after completion of ur merit will get bank of his choice. what is ur say on that?

  8. Dear Admin,
I m not agreed about it that there is any type of allotment related problems like... no UR Candidate is received BOB or PNB becauz vacancies of all the categories are already distributed. Toppers of each category can choose any Bank , who knows they want only BOB and PNB, why not UBI, IDBI, Corporation and ECGC etc. All successful candidates received two times system generated mail ( 1st on 12th and 02nd on 13th )and almost every1 got same status. It means that all the procedure is checked two times till now. Noone changed is got . It may be possible that sm1 got mail but not sms or vice versa due to sme programming error. but it is rarely possible.

according to the indian constitution....if a reserved cat student gets equal or higher cut off then gen cat then....that candidate is allotted in gen cat provided he fulfills all the cat of a gen student including age.........no one can change it.....SSC follows this rule...and its the govt rule.....otherwise a reserved cat student will have no benifit...as 85% of the indian population consists os reserved cat students.....According to my opinion I think that some banks such as BOI ,PNB,IOB,UBI,Allahabad etc which ask for 60% or 55% in graduation is not willing to take candidates lower than that marks...My father is the chief manager of BOI...he told me that since the establishment of BOI ,it is asking for 60% in grad.....there is no such existing direct recruit PO of BOI who is not having 60% or 55% for resv cat in graduation....I think this can be the issue..or else the policy that has been followed is according to the Indian govt......and also most of the candidates gave preference according to the bank which have more no of branches in that state.....so for this it can be that the top rated banks have more reserved cat students than UR...please keep in mind in IBPS its given UR(means open to all) not general..if a reserved candidate have much more marks than a general candidate...then any bank would be honoured to take him/her.....no one will say that he /she have a reservation tag

sir i have got my 3rd choice locked at score 70.16 viz is canara bank after pnb and bob, i m not sure but if the merit list circulated on internet is true my total rank is 844 and let me consider the worst case in which let suppose all the candidate above me are of reserved category then also it is sure that i have got my second choice locked viz bob as the total number of un reserved seats in pnb plus bob is 940 ( 178 and 762 ) this is not fair ...
more shocking case in of my friend whose score is 72.36 gen , she also get her third choice locked viz union bank , and obviously her total rank is 315

  29. Guys, just relax. What I'm saying is that we need team effort. We can expect a revised second list soon. In that list if the selected candidates from the first list is ignored, then we have to go against IBPS together. We got a solid proof as email and we must go legally against the betrayal of IBPS. So all the guys stay in tune with this website. Last year also they played with us. This time its not gonna work. We will protest. We will protest until we get the job as PO. Hail the solidarity and definitely we will win.

    ReplyDelete
  33. no its true that almost every seat of bob,pnb goes to reserved category and general category don't got allotments in these banks even when they have high score

    ReplyDelete
  34. @nikita ji general category students having high score and much more % than banks demanded still not got top banks becz of some mistake in allocating seats to obc category and graduation % is not an issue as it is cleraly mentioned-"A degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government." So, its assured that, banks will not implement individual educations qualification at any stage.and admin is right

  41. dear friends,
Please visit ibps website and read the advertisement once again, it is clearly mentioned that after clearing written examination and interview banks will be stipulate its own eligilbilty criteria.....so might be graduation marks will be consider this time......for ur help i have mentioned that lines below:-
"Please note that the eligibility criteria specified herein are the basic criteria for
applying to various Public Sector Banks. However merely applying for CWE/
appearing for and qualifying in the examination does not imply that a candidate
will necessarily be eligible for employment in all or any of the 19 Public Sector
Banks as each Bank will stipulate its own eligibility/ qualifying criteria. "
One more thing that I would like to bring in your kind notice about the age criteria, in advertisement eligibility criteria for age as on 01.01.2012, it is more than a year so there is a possibility that many general category candidates cross 30 years of age at present……

    ReplyDelete

In case 1 (in the post) what i said is that, before allotting the banks to toppers, they have stated allotting the banks to reserve category candidates in top 11k, but they are not top rankers. it should not be done like this. No. 1 ranker should get allotment 1st whether he is a General candidate or reserve candidates. It was not happened in the allotment process. am i clear now

  50. Allotment process is so simple ... dont know how did ibps commit blunder.... but atleast they are rectifying it on time....

The Way i see it.... Allotment Process generally happens like this(in ENGG as well as CAT)

Set of all candidates(UR+R) to sorted Marks wise..
Check d options of 1st candidate, allot the bank preference wise
Now Case 1:If candidate is UR no problem,
Case 2:IF candidate is R,check whether he/she is eligible for UR quota too,If yes allot in UR if no allot in R quota..)

This has to be done for each preference till bank is allotted.

My father is Retd. Manager of BoI. He called the HRM Section of HO and dey said dat everything is 2 b decided by IBPS starting frm Age,Educational Qualf. and final cut-off. Dey will only use the data provided and the selection list for issuing appointment frm dis time onwards.BoI For sure will only have medical test and police verification done before appointment. The allotment is provisional as d candidates have finally not joined d banks nd will be confrmd once all joining formalities is completed.
IOB authorities also said d same in the Regional Office, dey gave me phone no of HR Deptt. but no one picked up. The no is- 044-28524212.

  62. Best Analysis:
Mistake done by IBPS: No general category allotment in PNB & BOB.
Total UR seats in PNB & BOB:940
Top SC/ST/OBC students who can get BOB & PNB in UR category: 180
Remaining seats:760 to be filled by general candidates
Action 1:Another 760 general candidates will be called and last allotted total 760 Obc/sc/st will loose job.
Action 2: To keep all previously allotted students reserved seats can be increased another 760 then equal number of general vacancy will increase and another 1520 general candidates will be called.
Result for action 1: new cut offs- Gen-61.68. OBC/SC-cut off will increase 1%
Result for action 2: new cut offs-Gen-61.28. OBC/SC/ST-No change
Hope for the best.....probably Action 2 will be taken. Friends/Admin......what do u say?

    ReplyDelete
  63. But how the seats will increase...??
    Ur Action 2 not possible
    Any other solution???

    ReplyDelete
  64. yes..i said that.. it is just a assumption of taking the OBC candidates on top to allot banks. They might have filtered them afterwards. Only 1000 posts were missing for General candidates as far i know.

    ReplyDelete
  65. As no bank issued any individual criteria before allotment, they cant issue new guideline at the time of joining. so, if u got allotted bank, they will definitely give job. no more issues.
they wont the age at present. they wont consider the age at the time joining. they consider only the age as on 01.01.2012.

There was no criteria specified by any participating bank before preference allotment so how the Bank can ignore the candidate on the ground the candidate having no special criteria. Criteria of Bank is not known to candidate and also not specified by IBPS so is it possible that they can refuse candidate take if they having lower marks in graduation
    Thanks

  81. Banks are not ignoring but this time as the decision of Common Interview came late so this time there will be no criterian of 60% as they have to follow IBPS process which is guided by Govt. This time we can say this is the boundation for banks to allow all Passed candidate. You can also see that due to %criteria PNB has not provided much more vacancies it has only 350,because they want atleast 60% in graduation.though PNB have requirement of approx 2000 PO(My friend is po in PNB and he told this thing).Next time in PO3 60% minimum will be followe in graduation. So dont be confused.

  82. This mismanagement of IBPS will definitely affect the clerical interview and final result.
Because maximum PO-ii candidates hv qualified this & if they fill their preference( though they mayn't join) then many clerk aspirant would suffer for this.
