Marks You Need to Score in IBPS Clerk Exam (Online) December 2012

As we all know, IBPS Clerk Exam 2012 is going to start from 15th December 2012. So, I want to inform the realities behind the cutoff marks in each section. As you see in marks declared by IBPS in previous clerk and PO exams, they have mentioned that 24 is cutoff for 50 marks and 19 is the cutoff for 40 marks. Due to this many candidates are trying to mark the answers even though they don’t know the answers to reach the cutoff marks. Here are the real cutoff marks you need to score in each section in IBPS Clerk Exam 2012.

Reasoning: 9 to 12 (Out of 40)

English: 8 to 10 (Out of 40)

Numerical Ability: 10 to 12 (Out of 40)

General Awareness: 10 to 12 (Out of 40)

Computer Knowledge: 11 to 14 (Out of 40)

You try to answer at least 10 to 12 questions correctly in any section. So, Target above 12 in each section to be in safe zone. Also high scoring is very important to get job. You need to target total 140 marks above to get confirm job. 140 are not TWS, it is real marks. Ok. Try to score as much as possible. In clerk exams, it is not that tough to score 140 marks. You make your own target in each section to reach above 140 marks. If you are not efficient, try to score minimum 120 marks to get common interview chance. So, don’t mark answers if you don’t know the answer to reach 19 marks out 40. 19 is not actual cutoff mark. So, here is the final note i.e., Try to answer at least 10 questions correctly out of 40 in each section and at least 120 marks in total out of 200. Ok. All The Best! Guys.     10 to 12 in each section is safe score for sectional cutoff and u need to score total 120 to 140 to get selected for common interview. marked for review questions will be added to answer, no problem with that.

    sir ,
    i need to complaint ibps regarding my centre's conduct of examination.
    sir just behind my centre a program was being held and the loud noise of the songs which are of DJ type troubled me a lot .i was not able to concentrate properly and despite of complaining to the invigilator he told me that he can do nothing .
    sir please do some help to me and is there any possibility of my re-examination or any justice to me.

    sir, i hav attempted 162 out of 200, and i think aound 150 will be right. though i am sure about my numerical ability, english and reasoning, i think in GK and computers, approx 8-10 may b wrong!so do i stand 2 get a chance for the interview call?

    1st of all I would like to thank you for making us aware about the cutoff marks, as it was very important to go ahead for preparation. Here, I would like to ask about the negative marks for each wrong answers as well as would like to share 1 thing that if in case we put tick on the some 4 or 5 wrong answers at the end of the session, will it be affected for getting low score.     SIR im swathi. i have attempted above 30 in all sections. but in reasoning i attempted 19 only .i think may be 1 or 2 wrongs in this section. according to ibps standard cutoff , i do not qualify. but according to u i will qualify.is it conform sir that u r correct(10-12).how can u say it is 10-12.

    cool down swathi.. trust me.. u will definitely get pass in reason if you can get 17 marks in reasoning. cutoff will be around 24 to 14 this time in reasoning.. don't worry.. IBPS wont reveal the actual cutoff marks. They are equated score. If cutoff is 12, then it is equal to 19 and score will be displayed as 19. For example, lets take 12 as cutoff in reasoning this time. As you said you can get 17 marks in reasoning. Your score will be displayed as 24. This is the procedure. Sleep Well Madam Ji..

    There is big difference between number questions attempted and number questions correct. I know many people like u who say that they have attempted 195 questions but fail.

    i attempted 175 questions and got passed status.. but this time ibps is delaying to publish result.. it would better to publish the scores of passed candidates first, as everything depending on marks. nothing going to happen only with the mere pass status..

    For IBPS written exam have confidence , daily practice the old exam papers , during the practice have time schedule , don't say you don't have time in the exam , that shows that you have not put in enough time for practice .Atleast 25 questions in each section must be correct , also you may have the domination subjects i.e english or tor or gk or maths or computer in any two or three you are likely to get more than 25 which marks will take you high in the merit order .Then prepare for interview after knowing the result .Practice , Practice , Practice daily .Have will power , confidence .Make it a point to read good books .Also remember once you enter banking the retirement is 60 years so life is settled .Like the job .If I win .. I win .If I fail I try to learn .Try Try achieve till the goal is not achieved .
