After releasing the IBPS PO CWE 2012 Scores of all the passed and failed candidates, everyone is asking about the percentage of marks required in graduation to get call for IBPS PO 2012 interviews.
Until now, IBPS didn't make any announcement regarding common interview. Even there is no information regarding the individual notifications by banks. I am not going to talk about the interview process. This post is all about percentage of marks required in graduation/degree to get IBPS PO 2012 interview call. Here iam going to post which bank ask for what percentage of marks in graduation to get eligible for interview. If, individual interviews takes place, this will be educational qualification mentioned by each bank. This list is prepare based on the recruitment notifications released by each bank in IBPS PO 2011.
List of Banks and percentage requirement:

Hi, i've 57% in my engg after which i did mba and in it i've 65%. So would i be eligible to apply in banks which are asking for 60% and above?
ReplyDeleteCan you tell us when we are going to have the recruitment notifications from different banks. After all this process of examination has completed we all are egarly waiting for the next process to come on picture and move forward with it. Till then are are in a state of dillema and cannot concentrate on anything else.
ReplyDeleteye bilkul dhokha h.ibps ko khtm kar dena chahiye.ye aspirants k sath bhadda majak h.mai iske khilaf court me jaunga
ReplyDeleteHi, i’ve 57% in my engg after which i did mba and in it i’ve 65%. So would i be eligible to apply in banks which are asking for 60% and above...???
ReplyDeleteYes Mr. Guest. the requirement is either 60% in graduation or 55% in PG.SO U R SURELY ELIGIBLE.
ReplyDeleteIts very good to fix 60% in graduation. Post Is PO . not an ordinary post. So 60% should be criteria for interview call.
ReplyDeleteThis is really selfish thought. talent could not be calculated by graduation %.
ReplyDeleteHELLO ADMIN,
ReplyDeletei got 138(gen) in p.o ibps-2. Do i have a chance to attend the common interview?
prepare for ibps clerk exam 2012
ReplyDeleteADMIN I SUPPORT YOU FOR THIS "This is really selfish thought. talent could not be calculated by graduation %." n i think only a open minded compititor understand this.
ReplyDeleteyeah..u r right.. i have seen such candidates with scores above 170, 180 in ibps po and less % in Graduation. Can we say that they are not talented. how could they get that score without brains. just think everybody..
ReplyDeleteFirst of all thanx Admin for such useful information abt the ibps......
ReplyDeletesir i am posting my academic qualification as well as ibps po2 score..........
plz help me in sorting out the problem abt the interview call....
graduation=46.33
PG(MCA)=61.8
ibps2 score=182(gen)
Will i got chance for interview as this tym ibps has called for those candidates only who have 60% in gradn???
plz sir help me....my id= deeou.chauhan1988@gmail.com
Govt. can make any rule....for govt. it doesnt mattr that talent is not evaluated by the % marks of graduation or anyhtng...It may get applied in this PO(graduation 60%).....we can take an example if IIT-JEE...wer % matters a lot...thr r many deserving candidates who passes this xm n do not fullfills the % criteria...
ReplyDeleteHi, i’ve 57% in my engg after which i did mba and in it i’ve 65%. So would i be eligible to apply in banks which are asking for 60% and above…?
ReplyDeleteu hve good chances even ur % is less. u r eligible for 10 banks.
ReplyDeleteThank you admin...... ur words really feels relax to me........tnce again thanx for ur reply........tc
ReplyDeleteHello admin(deepak) sir,
ReplyDeleteI have secured 155(OBC) marks in ibps po2 and 70% in b.tech(cse). Please tell me what is my chance for selection
hi sir i have 162(obc) in ibps2 and 62% in grad.also myage isnow 32 what r my chances .pls help
ReplyDeleteToday I am shocked to see a sms from a online portal that IBPS PO minimum eligibility from next year will be 60 percent in graduation. Its totally a rubbish decision if it is true. I just missed this year by not able to score the minimum marks in QA which I just attended 21 questions. However I got a very good marks in Current Affairs (38), English (36), Computer (42), Reasoning (35)...Scoring the minimum marks in Aptitude would have got me 170+ . I understood my mistake with time management and started preparing again rigorously. But the present decision is shocking for me. I did my graduation from one of the top college in India for which getting admission itself is a big task. However my percentage is less than 60. It doesn't mean I am not capable.
ReplyDeleteI just want to ask IBPS, for what the hell they conduct Aptitude and Reasoning type exams? Do they themselves actually know why that format of exam in conducted in banks? Just cramming up facts and getting 90 percent doesn't mean a person is intelligent. I am totally heart broken and thinking of going to post graduation (just for securing the 60%) if it is really implemented.
Secondly, I didn't see any news in any news papers regarding the hike in percentage of marks( for all banks from 2013). The recent notification which came after the meeting is about the common interview. I came to know about a post in various forums. Yes, just a post, because all the forums just had the same article initially posted in some website. If any one is sure that this is true, give me an authentic link to a news in any paper or government notification.
Hope it should be rumor.
u r right admin..... talent could not be calculated by the percentage....competiton should be base on without boundation of percentage....
ReplyDeletefriends from next year ibps has gone for certain changes...1. graduation marks has been increased to 60% and 2. age reduced to 28 from 30...friends i think there should protest against this as 2 years is lot for banking aspirants like us....i have already sent my grievnaces in http://pgportal.gov.in/Grievance.aspx with Registration number DEABD/E/2012/02285..please guys send ur grievance and stop ibps from implementing this rule only ur protests an stop ibps from implementing this rule
ReplyDeleteit is true that they are going to implement 60% minimum for POs but not clerks. it was recommended by a committee and govt accepted the proposal. it was published in online newspapers of economic times. there are many people like u. we can do nothing. i suggest u to go for ssc exams. there is no such % criteria. i really like ssc board. ssc graduate level exam is much much better than ibps po. exam is going to be held in july 2013 and advertisement for this exam will come in march 2013.
ReplyDeleteu have good chances. prepare for interview.
ReplyDeleteThank you admin for your prompt reply,
ReplyDeleteYa I too was aware of SSC. Actually I prepare for Civil Service Exam and that is ultimate goal. I hope you will be well aware that banking is a mid gate way for many civil service aspirants, as once you miss an attempt in civil service, you have to wait almost a long year and a couple of year to get admitted.
Banking was one of my gate way, however it is one of the job which I loved so far and the one which I feel I missed just because of over confidence and poor time management. I just want to know whether this is applicable for Regional Rural Banks too? I cleared RRB Officer this time, but will it be last chance there too?
However I am 25 now, even if it is implemented I would consider it as an oppurtunity to do my post graduation.
As far as I kow, so far if you have a post graduate degree 55 percent is sufficient even in those banks which ask 60 percentage in UG. So I don't think there should be any problem with you even with the present modification.
ReplyDeleteDear 60%,
ReplyDeleteCan ou tell me what it exactly mean by value based education in general and intelligence in personal? Secondly, in India do we have common format of education pattern wither it is in school or college? Third, do you agree that 60% mark holder in some unknown college (ranked bottom, its not to hurt any one in person, just a practical criteria) and a 55% in IIT Bombay are same?
Admin,
ReplyDeleteYou just replied to me that it has been published in Economic times. In the first week of October I read about a reform by Financial secretary D K Mittal from which the present modification of common interview was implemented. Are you mentioning it? But I don't find any news related to it and even in the later part. Can you just (if possible) give the link (if you have) of that article published in Economic times.
DEAR SIR,i secured 55% in graduation, but above 55% in mca(post graduation) in distance from ignou.can i sit for ibps po exam?
ReplyDeleteI too posted my grievance and forwarded it to a coaching center too. Dear admin, why don't you make an article related to this, so that affected candidates can go for it.
ReplyDeletei read it but dont have link. Dr. konar also mentioned it in interview given for The Telegraph. I just posted the common interview news which was confirmed by him. 60% criteria will be applied from ibps po 3.
ReplyDeleteno news regarding rrbs. but i think it will be applicable to rrbs also.
ReplyDeleteIts TOTALLY FALSE. I will provide the link containing all the 56 recommendations of the Khandelwal commitee which were accepted by the government. It does mention raising the eligibility for recruitment of clerks to graduation but nowhere does it mention 60% marks in graduations for POs.I think ITS JUST A RUMOUR... see this..... http://www.kvbeu.co.in/kvbeu/webadmin/Circulars/Cltr_158-52_Khandelwal.pdf
ReplyDeletei will make a post soon.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteAdmin pease let me know there will be 5% marks relaxcation for OBC category in IBPS PO3.

Hello Admin,
ReplyDeleteI have got 151 marks (General Category) and I have done Engineering (B.E) in 2010 with 61 % aggregate. I have 2 + years of experience in IT industries. What are my chances ? Do i will get calls from all the banks.?
I want to join those any of the banks which provides other expenses also (Petrol + Room rent).
Eg: UCO bank does not provide (Petrol + Room rent expense)
Union bank Of India provides (Petrol + Room rent expense) from the day u join.
hello admin have u started any new post regarding implementation of IBPS new rules??? plzz start as soon as possible plzz let the people know about this new rule and plzz let them know where to post their grievances
ReplyDeletehttp://pgportal.gov.in/Grievance.aspx.............................................
ReplyDeleteplzz guys post ur grievances there if u dont have 60% in graduation or ur age is above 28....
plzz post ur grievances before the notification for IBPS PO 3 comes out....once the notification comes out u can do nothing against it....so act soon and stop this rule to be implemented
common interview is a welcome decision!!
ReplyDeleteDEAR MR. SELFISH.. try to think about others who gonna suffer with this bloody 60% criteria. Mugging up the bloody info and gaining huge percentages doesn't mean sombdy is a genius. Only tough exams like these would tell what they are. And I'm sorry fr ur stupid IQ. GROW UP!!
ReplyDeletebe it 55% or 60% talent can;t be traced through these % criteria.sbi has no restriction, cat has no restriction and civil services has no restriction.all these examination is undoubtedly more prestigious than ibps po/clerk.lakhs of candidates have hope over it they should offer equal opportunity to everyone
ReplyDeletePlease reply to my post. I have got 151 marks (General Category). Will I get calls from maximum banks??

Dear admin, i've a doubt reg IBPS PO 2 exam(i.e. exam conducted in the year 2012). In the eligibility criteria they have mentioned that you should have a degree as on 01.01.2012. Now 1st jan, 2012 is a sunday and my degree passing date is Jan, 2012. My university doesn't mention day of the month for passing date in degree. They only mention month and year. Now my query is will i be eligible to get a seat as if you go by date then i've a degree on 01.01.2012. But as it is a sunday, then my degree should be valid from 2nd jan, 2012. Also while applying for the exam i filled my passing date as 01.01.2012 and form was submitted successfully. Also considering 01.01.2012 as sunday, IBPS should have mentioned eligibility criteria for degree to be on 31.12.2012, not on 01.01.2012. Please help..
