Number of Vacancies in IBPS RRB Officers/PO & Office Assistants/Clerks2012

IBPS RRB Officers Scale 1 2/PO CWE result status yesterday. Now, the question of number of vacancies in Regional Rural Banks in India for the present recruitment process will arise.

Generally Rural Banks recruitment is state level only. So, you need to face the competition in state level for both Officer and Office Assistant posts. currently there is no information regarding state wise vacancies but the total number of vacancies in IBPS RRB Officers/PO recruitment 2012 is around 10,000. This is very high compare to previous trends of recruitment by RRBs. This is because rural banks are expanding their network by 10% every year. 10,000 vacancies in IBPS RRB Officers/PO is the primary estimate. In 2011 - 12, RRBs collectively recruited about 4,000 officers & 5,500 Office assistants/Clerks. As Government of India wanted RRBs to expand their network by 10% every fiscal, we can expect even more number of vacancies this time. So, IBPS RRB Officers/PO & Office Assistants/Clerks collective number of vacancies will be over 10,000 this time. RRBs will conduct interviews in December 2012.
