IBPS PO 2013 CWE 2 2nd round allotment is expected to release in august as per the RTI's received by our readers. In this post iam going to present my expected cutoff marks in IBPS PO 2012 Waiting List. This is just my personal view. It wont be 100% true.
As we all know, some vacancies were unfilled by IBPS in IBPS PO 2012 -13 final allotment. All those vacancies will be filled in 2nd round allotment. Banks are not going to release any new vacancies for waiting list. Only unallotted and unfilled vacancies will be filled in IBPS PO 2013 waiting list.
IBPS PO 2012 - 13 Waiting List Expected Number of Vacancies (2nd Round Allotment) (Category Wise):
Category | Expected Vacancies |
Gen | 1200 to 1400 |
OBC | 600 to 700 |
SC | 250 to 300 |
ST | 150 to 200 |
PWD | 200 |
IBPS PO 2012 - 13 Waiting List Expected Cutoff Marks (2nd Round Allotment) (Category Wise):

Above 61.48 in General category will get job in waiting list & upto 61.32 will have a chance of getting job. Their opportunity is doubtful as per my analysis. They may or may not get job. I cant say anything for sure for the candidates in that range. The candidates having score below 61.32 will have very less chance. Like that, you can understand the data for other categories also.
This is just my personal view. I cant guaranty anything. I posted this information after completely analysing the data available. IBPS PO 2012 - 2013 waiting list cutoff marks and vacancies expected by me are furnished above. If you have any doubts, ask me in comments section.
I cant post IBPS Clerk cutoff marks like this because it is a state wise competition. It is very tough to find data for each state. I am sorry. You can expect job if your marks are .60 to .80 less than the cutoff marks in your state. Please don't ask me that question. I don't have any information.
All The Best! for Upcoming IBPS PO 2012 - 13 Waiting List (2nd Round Allotment),
Changes in IBPS PO 2013 Recruitment Process
If you observe Changes in IBPS PO 2013 Recruitment Process, there are lot of things changed. This post is just for information on changes because old students will follow the old pattern rules most of the time, without looking at new notification and procedure. Have a look..
Changes in IBPS PO Recruitment 2013 CWE 3:
1. Max marks changed from 250 to 200. Earlier PO exams were conducted for 250 marks. But now, Maximum marks are 200. Actually, it is changed to RRB Exam pattern.
2. Time limit decreased to 2 hrs from 2.50hrs.
3. There is no descriptive paper this time. It is a very good move as per me. Because the candidates who secure above 200 marks got failed in descriptive paper. Very Bad. I have seen many cases like this.
4. This exam is going to held online. 1st PO online exam.
5. Exam fees increased from Rs. 400 to Rs. 600
6. Number of exam centers increased. Earlier candidates got frustrated with the allotment of exam centers. By displaying all the exam centers, ibps has done very good thing.
7. Exam pattern is changed Maths and Reasoning 50 & 50 Questions for 100 Marks. Computer 20 Questions for 20 Marks & English and GA 40 & 40 Questions 80 Marks.
The biggest changes 60% in graduation and 28 Years max age were revised. It is a big relief. If you find any other changes, please post in comments section.

1. Reasoning: You have to be very careful while solving the questions. If you make a mistake in solving the problem, you will mark all wrong answers to the questions below that problem. The most important questions from this section are, Seating Arrangements, Ranking, Syllogism, input - output, Data Sufficiency, Coding - Decoding, Cause and Effect, Statement and Conclusions, Assumptions. These topics cover almost 30 marks out of 50. So, practice these questions more. They ask 5 questions from each of these topics. Some more important topics are, Blood Relations, Directions, Analogy, Classification, Series problems are some more important topics you have to cover. Nonverbal reasoning is the toughest of all. But it was there in online exams. I am not sure whether they will ask non-verbal questions in PO exam or not. They didn't ask them in clerk and some other online exams. Be prepared for that too. Otherwise you have to lose 10 marks.
2. Quantitative Aptitude: Quantitative Aptitude section is most toughest section for many after General English. But if you practice more and more, you can minimise the time to solve the problems. If you keep on practicing the papers, you can find some shortcuts by yourself. Some candidates can solve the problems if you give time but they lack speed. Speed is very important for quantitative aptitude section. Practice is the only mantra for success.
Before practicing the papers, you need to be good at tables, Summation, Difference, Multiplications, Division, Square roots, Square of a number. you should not spend much time for these operations. Your speed completely depends on how faster you can do these operation. There shortcuts for these operations. So, know them first. In quantitative aptitude section, you have to face the following topics. Basic calculations and simplifications, Series problems, Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Partnership, Profit & Loss, Simple Interest, Compound Interest, Average, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Work & Wages, Trains, Boats & Streams, Probability, Data Sufficiency, Data Interpretation, Mensuration, Bodmas Rule, Permutations & Combinations. These are the topics that you have to cover. All topics are important.
3. English Language: This is the section where many candidates not able to score minimum cutoff marks. But they wont concentrate on it. In this section, vocabulary, Comprehension, Correction of sentences, Jumbled words, Fill in the blanks, Phrase-Meanings, Antonyms, Synonyms, Arrange sentence. To answer these questions, you need to be good at grammar. Learn tenses, Parts of speech, Prepositions, Articles, etc.. Daily read English news paper. Write down some words, which you feel difficult and know the meanings and opposite words. so that you can improve your vocabulary. If you keep reading the papers, you will be able to identify errors in sentences without even thinking about the grammar. So that you can read faster than before.
4. General Awareness: Questions are mainly based on banking knowledge. Know about financial institutions and their background. There will be 15 to 20 Current affairs questions out of 40. Read all the general awareness questions posted on our website. Don't look at title of the post. Read all the general awareness and banking awareness questions posted on our site. Apart from these, know the important days, important persons, Award winners, Books and authors, Head of the major institutions, Abbreviations, Ministers and their port folios, Games and Cups. Write a notes on all these topics.

Revised Bank Rate & Marginal Standing Facility (MSF) from 15th July 2013
In a move to stem the continuing fall of rupee, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has raised the Bank Rate & Marginal Standing Facility (MSF). It will help to restore stability to the foreign exchange market. The RBI has raised Bank Rate to 10.25% from 8.25%. In result the Marginal Standing Facility (MSF) rate also raised to 10.25%. Remaining rates will be unchanged. Last week the Indian rupee touched an all-time low of 61.21 vis-a-vis USD. The RBI had not stepped in to curb rupee fall initially, but after a meeting with the government decided to raise the marginal standing facility or MSF along with Bank Rates.
Bank Rate: Bank Rate is the rate of interest at which RBI lends funds to banks for their long term needs. Where the Repo rate is the rate at which the RBI lends money to the banks against securities for short-term needs.
Marginal Standing Facility (MSF) Rate: Under this scheme, Banks will be able to borrow upto 1% of their respective Net Demand and Time Liabilities". The rate of interest on the amount accessed from this facility will be 300 basis points (i.e. 3%) above the repo rate wef 15/07/2013 [Earlier this facility was available at 100 basis point above repo rate]. This scheme has been introduced to reduce volatility in the overnight rates and improve monetary transmission.
RBI in its Monetary Policy announced on 03rd May, 2011 that it will soon be introducing Marginal Standing Facility (MSF). Later on RBI announced that MSF scheme has become effective from 09th May, 2011.

IBPS PO 2013: Is It Possible to Change Eligibility Criteria Now?
IBPS released the Probationary Officers (PO) 2013 recruitment notification earlier. There is lot dissatisfaction over the changed eligibility criteria. Iam also feeling very sad for you guys. Even though it was a expected move, i cant digest this. How they can decide one's talent just with graduation %. PSU Banks are taking very bold decision without taking care of unemployed youth..
Now, Is possible to change eligibility criteria now?
Banks don't even think of it. They have taken this decision after discussing the matter for one year. Because of huge competition to bank jobs, they want to filter candidates and absorb best candidates in this way. We cant blame IBPS for this change. They just follow the instructions of Govt of India & PSU Banks.
Some people are saying that, they are going file a PIL in high court or some thing. But these things never work. Banks issue new criteria after looking at legality of change. This decision was not taken in a single day. It was implemented after 1 and half year. So, Dont expect any change. So, don't waste your time with those kind of things. Forget about IBPS PO 2013, if you are General candidate with less than 60% score in graduation.
You have only 2 opportunities in your hand now. 1. RRB PO & Clerk 2. IBPS Clerk
If you want to work as PO only, prepare for RRB PO. As a RRB PO, you will have chance to work nearer to or in your own town. It is never possible in PSU Banks. Salary is same for all. Only allowances differs. RRB PO's wont get petrol & lease rent accommodation allowance. All others are same for All. After working as PO for 2 years, you are eligible to write Scale 2 direct recruitment exams.
If you want work only PSU banks, you can write IBPS clerk exam, for which we can expect notification in few months. There is no % criteria for clerks. If you join as a clerk in any PSU, you will get promotion within 3 to 4 years. IF you pass JAIIB & CAIIB exams, you will definitely get promotion in 3 years at present.
So, Be Positive & Move Forward with the Opportunities you have... Share your views on this post in comments section.

Candidates belonging to the Reserved Category (SC / ST/ PWD), filling in vacancies reserved for the relevant category, will be entitled to a relaxation of 5% marks in relation to that stipulated for General Category candidates. Candidates belonging to SC / ST/ PWD categories filling in “unreserved” vacancies will not be entitled to the above referred relaxation Computer Literacy : Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute.

How to Prepare for IBPS RRB Officers & Office Assistant Online Exams2013
IBPS RRB Officers & Office Assistant Online Exams 2013 are scheduled to held on in September/ October 2013. Officers exam will be conducted first. After that office assistant exam will be conducted. Everybody asking how to prepare IBPS RRB Exams 2013. So, let me explain here. This post is for newcomers.
There 5 sections in IBPS RRB Officers & Office Assistant Written Exam 2013.
1. Reasoning
2. Numerical Ability/ Quantitative Aptitude
3. English Language/ Hindi Language
4. General Awareness
5. Computer Knowledge
There are 40 questions from each section.
1. Reasoning: Questions are related to following topics.
Syllogism: There will be 2 or 3 statements followed by 2 conclusions. You have to take the given statements to be true and then decide which of given conclusions logically follows from given statements.
Data Sufficiency: One question followed by 2 statements will be given. You have to decide whether the data provided in the statements are sufficient to answer the question.
Coding - Decoding: Some data will be given with its codes. Ex: book is coded as hlt. You have to answer the questions based on the given codes.
Seating Arrangement: Some information will be provided related the seating positions. you have to figure out correct seating arrangement based on given data and answer the questions. If you can prepare the seating arrangement, you can easily answer the question. You have to concentrate more to solve this type of questions.
Greater than, Less than, Equality Relationship: Statements contain the relationship between different elements will be shown. You have to decide whether the Conclusions given follows the relation given in statements
There will be some single items {Please refer previous exam papers to know more)
Statement & Arguments: Statements and arguments will be given. You have to decide which of given arguments are strong and which are weak argument related to the given statement.
Statement & Course of Action: Some situation will be given in statement followed by course of actions. You have to decide which of given course of actions logically follows for pursuing.
Blood Relations: Based on given blood relationships, you to answer the questions.
Non Verbal Reasoning: 4 question figures will be given. You have to decide which among the answer figures follows as 5th figure. Nonverbal questions are discontinued in online exam pattern. Be ready for this also. WE cant predict anything.
To get good marks in IBPS RRB 2013 Online Exam, You have to practice more. Reasoning section is toughest section compare to any other section in my point of view because if you cant concentrate at that point of time, you will loose marks even though you know the procedure to solve that question. So, sleep well before the exam. This is very important to answer reasoning section. Why i am saying this is, i have seen many candidates traveling at night before the exam day. This logic may sound silly for some of you, but it is true. You cant solve questions if don't sleep well. Ok.. Reasoning section is all about Practice & smart thinking in exam hall. For Office Assistant & Officers exam, reasoning questions will be same, but the toughness of the questions will different. Office Assistant questions looks very simple. But the accuracy is important to get top rank. Officers questions will be little difficult. You have to think to solve them. It wont be like IBPS PO exam. It simple compare to that exam.
Reasoning Section = 40 Questions = 50 Marks.
2. Numerical Ability/ Quantitative Aptitude:
Numerical ability for Office Assistant Exam & Quantitative aptitude for Officers. To score good marks in this section, you have to be quick in solving mathematical calculations. First, learn mathematical tables from 2 to 20. Many might have forgot the tables after 12 or 13. So, read them first. Know some shortcuts from your seniors. I have posted some tricks in Quantitative Aptitude section.
Numerical Ability section will have 20 questions based on BODMAS Rule & other 20 questions from Quantitative aptitude questions. Quantitative Aptitude for officers will have 20 Quantitative aptitude and 20 Data Interpretation questions
Data Analysis & Interpretation mainly contains, Pie Charts, Bar Diagrams, Tables, Graphs, Probability & Data Analysis.
Just practice 30 previous PO exam papers to quickly solve questions of Data Analysis & Interpretation.
Numerical Ability/ Quantitative Aptitude = 40 Questions = 50 Marks
3. English Language:
Comprehension Passage, Cloze test, Meanings & Opposite Words, Common Errors, Grammatical Errors, Filling the blanks, Rearranging sentences to form meaning paragraph.
I recommend you to read comprehensions, if you have time at last, because if you are not able to understand in the middle of the passage, your time will be wasted. Set some time for it and follow the same. Many canidates spending too much of time to read passages. If you are also like that, it is better to skip it and answer the Meanings and Opposite words questions just by reading the bold sentence. I strongly recommend you to learn the grammar part. If you are good at grammar, you can answer easily within less amount of time. If you are taking too much of time while practicing for some type of questions, try to find ways to solve in less and learn shortcuts from friends. If there is no way to reduce the time to solve that particular type of question, just leave it. OK..
There will be 20 questions from grammar section. If you can answer at least 15, you will be in safe zone. I recommend all of you to write notes. Collect 30 previous PO exam papers, buy a note book and note down the error in particular sentence. Read all the things that you have wrote before the exam day. Revision is very important for English.
Cloze test is easy if you read previous papers.
English Language = 40 Questions = 40 Marks
4. General Awareness:
This is the easiest section in Bank Exams. For GK, Read the questions posted on our website and read last 6 months Current Affairs questions i.e., Apr, May, June, July, August, September 2013. 70 to 80% of the current affairs questions will be from from June, July, August, September 2013.
General Awareness = 40 Questions = 40 Marks
5. Computer Knowledge:
For computer knowledge, preparing previous exam papers is enough. Also learn more about MS office tools.
Computer Knowledge = 40 Questions = 20 Marks

***** There will be 40 questions from all the sections. But, Reasoning & Numerical Ability sections carry 50 marks each. So, each question carry 1.25 mark. For computer knowledge, each question carry 0.50 mark. Without noticing this, many candidates in previous exams keep on asking that why my marks wrongly calculated in total by IBPS. Ok.
Penalty For Wrong Answers:
There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate; there will be no penalty for that question.
** If the total marks obtained is in fraction, the marks obtained will be rounded off to the nearest integer, i.e. if fraction is 0.50 or more, it will be rounded off to next higher integer.
Cutoff: Each candidate will have to secure a minimum cutoff score in each section & also on the Total Score.
Validity of Score Card: Score issued by IBPS will be valid for one year from the date of display of the Score on IBPS’s website and will be considered for recruitment exercises during that period.

IBPS RRB Online Exam 2013: Things You Need to Know Before Applying forThe Exam
As we all know IBPS released the notification for Regional Rural Bank's online exam. Many candidates are new to bank exams. You have to know some important things that you have to do before applying for the bank exams. Bank jobs are suitable only for real workers. It is not like other govt jobs. So, prepare your mind for that. Ok. Keep it aside.
You must be very careful while applying for the exam online. Check these things twice before submitting your Application form. Enter your name as per the 10th class marks list. Enter your Date of birth carefully. Check your degree %. 2 other important things are, your email address and mobile number. These 2 are very important. IBPS release the results though emails or sms. So, if lose access to them, nobody can help you. So, give mobile number correctly and dont change the number until the recruitment process completed. Also, dont use email id's of some nonsense domains. Use only gmail. It is the best. I recommend only gmail. Yahoomail is OK. All others are useless. You have to face problems later if you neglect this. After completion of registration, you will get registration number, password & online application. Save them in mail, save them in your system, save it in your mobiles. Take a print out of online application. If you neglect any one of these things, you have to face problems. So, take it seriously and save your skin. Every year i have seen thousands of candidates making mistakes in above mentioned cases. So, be careful. Dont waste this opportunity by making silly mistakes.
Check List:
Name
Date of Birth
Degree % & Year of passing
Email Address ( Use Gmail)
Mobile Number
Registration Number
Password
You will know why iam saying all these things later. All The Best!
